A young adult novel of the initial taking of the Alamo by the Texans and the subsequent loss to Santa Ana. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR WITH A PERSONALIZED INSCRIPTION ON THE FRONT ENDPAPER. Clean, bright and sound with barely a hint of edge wear. The jacket has a pair of tiny chips at each side of the head of the spine, light general edge wear, and mild toning to the exposed edges of the flaps. Book Club The book states first edition on the copyright page but lacks a price on the green and white jacket so presumptively a book club. Octavo, about 8.25 inches (21 cm) tall, in grayish cloth. A rather scarce young adult story where five children have very strange experiences at Christmas. The book is clean and sound but the text is lightly toned and the covers have light edge wear with a spot of soiling to the spine.
